The Michel Hotel Suhl is located in the middle of the Thuringian Forest in the center of Suhl, idyllic, quiet and surrounded by greenery. It offers comfortable accommodation in 124 rooms and 208 beds. In the hotel restaurant with its 100 seats classic of the Thuringian and international cuisine on the table. You can enjoy a casual meal in the cozy restaurant bistro, while the summer terrace offers coffee and ice varieties. The hotel bar invites you to linger and enjoy.

Our hotel offers you three different room categories for a pleasant stay in Suhl. All 124 modern rooms are equipped with comfortable beds. The rooms all have shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, LED flatscreen TV and minibar. WLAN is available free of charge throughout the house.

Children up to 3 years stay free of charge in a cot (on request and availability)
Children from 3 - 6 years stay free of charge in their parents' bed
Children from 3 - 6 years stay in an extra bed for an amount of € 25.00 per night incl. Breakfast
Children from 6 - 12 years stay in an extra bed for an amount of € 25.00 per night + 50% breakfast

Please note that at Christmas and New Year's Eve no à la carte meals are offered. At these times we only offer buffet meals.

Attractions around Suhl

Worth seeing in and around Suhl

Suhl is situated on the southern slope of the Thuringian Forest in the valley of Lauter and Hasel. The city is surrounded by mountains between 650 m and 983 m high. On the world-famous 168 km long hiking trail "Rennsteig"; you can enjoy the green nature to the full.

In winter you will find first-class cross-country ski runs and in the winter sports resort of Oberhof (only 15 km from Suhl) there are bobsleigh runs and competition sites for cross-country skiing, biathlon and ski jumping.

For supporting programmes, the surrounding area offers a wide range of possibilities from sports to culture: adventure pool directly opposite, bowling, clay target shooting, summer and winter tobogganing in Oberhof, hiking and cycling in one of the most beautiful low mountain ranges in Germany.
